Prntyr Designs
Browse a library of ready-made templates, pick one and edit it.
Tablet of content
Designs is your starting point in prntyr. Instead of building a flyer, slide, or calendar from a blank page, you browse a library of ready-made templates, pick one, and edit it.
Getting there
Go to Prntyr > Click Designs in the top menu bar.
The template categories
Across the top of the page you'll see seven tabs. Each one holds a different kind of template:
| Tab | What's in it |
|---|---|
| TV Slides | Slides that play on community TVs and digital displays |
| Documents | Newsletters, flyers, menus, handouts - anything you print |
| Calendars | Monthly activity calendars |
| Alexa Slides | Slides formatted for Alexa-enabled devices |
| My Corporation | Templates your corporate office has shared with every community |
| My Shared | Templates you've saved and shared with the wider prntyr community |
| Favorites | Templates you've starred for quick access |
The number just below the tabs - for example, 108 templates - tells you how many designs are in the category you're viewing.
Finding a template
Browse. Click a category tab and scroll. Each card shows a preview, the template name, and who created it.
Search. Type into the Ask here… box at the top of the page. The search filters the tab you're currently on, so if you're searching for a fall flyer, make sure you're on the Documents tab first - searching from My Shared only looks through your own shared templates.
Sort. Use the Sort by menu on the right to reorder what you see:
- Most recent
- Oldest
- Name A–Z
- Name Z–A
- Most used
Most used is a good way to surface the templates your community actually relies on.
Using a template
Each template card carries three controls:
- Pencil - opens the template in the editor so you can make your version
- Trash - deletes the template
- Heart - adds the template to your Favorites tab
Click the pencil to start editing. From there you'll be in the Documents, Slides, or Calendar editor depending on what kind of template you picked.
Starting from scratch
Click + new design in the top right. This opens a blank editor for whichever category tab you're currently on - so if you're on TV Slides, you get an empty slide; if you're on Documents, you get an empty document page.
If you end up in the wrong editor, go back to Designs, click the tab you actually want, and click + new design again.
Tips
- Favorite the templates you reuse. Most communities rebuild the same handful of pieces every month. Starring them turns a scroll through 100+ templates into two clicks.
- Check My Corporation first. If your corporate office has branded templates, they'll be here - starting from one saves you from rebuilding logos, colors, and fonts by hand.
- Editing a template never changes the original. You're always working on your own copy.
If something looks wrong
A card says "PREVIEW UNAVAILABLE." The template itself is fine - only its thumbnail failed to generate. Click the pencil to open it and see the real thing.
"No corporate templates available." Nothing has been saved as a corporate template for your organization yet. Your corporate office controls what appears here.
"No shared templates yet." You haven't shared any of your own templates with the community. This tab fills up as you share your work.
Templates aren't loading. Refresh the page. Large categories can take a few seconds to populate.
