Use a Fire TV Stick for TV Signage

Purchase a FireTV Stick 

A Fire TV stick is required for TV Signage in Speak2. You need to purchase a Fire TV Stick and create a free Amazon account. 

Create and add slides to your TV screens before setup. If you do not add any slides, no content will display.

Turn on "Automatic Updates" to get the latest version on the app. 

Set up your FireTV Stick

  1. Set up your rooms for TV signage:   
  2. Create signage to display: 
  3. Follow the Fire TV stick directions to set up your Fire TV stick. It requires an Amazon account and your WiFi information.
  4. Once active, search for "Speak2" in the App Store. You will see the Speak2 app with this logo. Turn on "Autom

  5. Sign in with your TV information from the TV Signage page. All are case sensitive.  
    1. Community ID
    2. Room ID
    3. Slide duration 
  6. Select your settings. 
    1. Time
    2. News
    3. Weather
    4. Layout: Bottom, Top, Alexa (top left corner) or Right

🚨🚨🚨 Turn your Screensaver off!!!!

  1. Settings > Display & Sounds > Screensaver
  2. Change the Start time to Never. 

This will prevent your screens from going blank or screensavers. Your screen will turn off if this is not done.

Fire TV Stick Settings

  • Turn your screensaver off. Settings > Display & Sounds > Screensaver > Change the start time to Never
  • Turn on "Automatic Updates" so the latest version will always be downloaded.
