January 2026
Succinct Group Selections for Auto-Announcements
Many users have shared that while they love auto-announcements and they wanted more control over who they go to. As such, we are building the ability to select groups/individuals in our announcement checkbox within services and events.
Feed Export for Customer Data Usage
A feature that Speak2 is quite excited to create the ability to export our feed to a CSV file across a large period of time. The Feed has all system interactions in it which is very valuable data. With more and more clients using AI, the ability to export this feed provides all data needed to use Speak2 data in AI summaries and reports.
Management of Requests for Community Leadership Roles
Users have requested that we enable management roles to view requests across all users in the calendar view of Requests. For example, a maintenance manager wants to see all requests for their department in a calendar, regardless of who has accepted or been assigned. We plan to roll this feature out in January.
February 2026
Corporate Dashboard
Many users have roles that span across multiple communities. As such, we are creating a corporate dashboard that displays content and enables communication across multiple communities in one place. We are also making it easier for those users to navigate to any community within their corporation without the need for multiple logins.
AI Beta
We will be making our AI capability available to customers that are willing to participate in our beta feedback. Our AI capability is focused on providing several pre-built community summaries, as well as an open prompt. We will be gathering feedback from communities to ensure this feature to be useful and cost effective.
March 2026
NFC Chip Integration General release
This project will move from beta to production. This exciting project has a big impact across many Speak2 features. The ability for resident and staff to touch a phone to a sticker/chip enables location and person awareness to trigger other actions. E.g., a staff member can start an activity by touching their phone at the event location, and residents can mark themselves as attending.. Care staff can identify a room visit with timestamps and integration with EHRs for ADL or other care.
Enhanced Neighbors Web Experience
Based on customer feedback, we are updating the web experience for our "Neighbors" web. The new user experience will mimic the app experience more closely, and add more social features for residents.
April 2026
Memberships
We will be making the membership feature generally available to all customers as we wrap up our beta. The membership program allows non-residents to subscribe to the community for a fee and gain access to a subset of events, meals and services through Speak2. Staff can manage these users as part of their portal, and manage the content and services within the same portal experience as for residents.
May 2026
General Release - Credit Card Configuration
We currently provide a customization where you can connect a credit card payment to Speak2. We will be making this general available to all customers as a system configuration. Customers will be able to “turn on” payments, and any service with a Payment flag will sync with our back end credit card processing system. Residents will be able to have a card on file for payments, see status and totals.
June 2026
Social Enhancements
These enhancements will make our social features more robust and user friendly. They will include enhancements to social posts, sub-groops, and comments in groups (discussion groups). We will also be adding a like button to any service that has comments turned on, such as an event or transportation request.
July 2026
AI Triggers
This feature will allow communities to set “triggers” that are sent to a chosen group/audience with a specific message when specific thresholds are met. For example, if resident Mary Smith does not check in twice within a given week, a custom message is sent to her family notifying them of this change in behavior. Triggers can be set up for residents, staff, assets and locations. They have a threshold, time period and target communication audience. They are intended to measure present, staff and building metrics. E.g., if the aquatic center is not booked 8 times in a month, notify the ED. If a care team member closes more than 20 non-scheduled requests in a week, notify the care manager of the great job they are doing. These are highly configurable and can integrate to any of your system.
