The Speak2 Dining App

Dining staff app to take orders, pass to stations, for stations to view kiosks, and print meal tickets.

The Speak2 Dining app is only available on Apple devices. It can be downloaded here. It works on iPhones and iPads.

Take an order

Orders can be taken for a Resident or a "seat.". Ask your community which method you are using.

  1. Tap the Spoon in the bottom right.
  2. Select the restaurant you are working in.
  3. Select a resident or Table/Seat
  4. Select the Meal(s) by clicking the Plus button. 
  5. Click the Cart and select any sides/add ons
  6. Click Next
  7. Enter any Special Notes and select the method of delivery.
  8. Click Send
  9. You will be brought back to the Restaurant screen to take another order.

Pass the order to a station 

You can only pass an order that you have accepted. 

  1. Click the Arrow button and select the station name to pass it.
  2. When order is ready to be passed, click the arrow and select the station.
  3. The order card will turn gray and will now appear on the station's screen to complete.
  4. When the station completes the order, they will tap and send it back to you.
  5. The order will return to orange, show as "Complete," and ready for delivery. 
  6. Click Cancel if it is no longer needed. 

    If you do not have stations, do not enter any stations in the restaurant configuration. This will prevent staff from being able to pass it to a station and potentially lose the order.


    Close or finish the order

    If the order is completed, swipe left on the card to close. It will be marked as closed and removed from your screen.
