TV Signage Features

  • Automatically display services with "Display in Signage" checkbox
  • Create custom TV slides or upload images
  • Play YouTube videos (only YouTube, no vimeo or other URLs) 
  • Display the weather, time, date, community news or local news stations
  • Schedule or target specific screens

You can only preview TV slides. Alexa slides are only visible in Speak2 > Alexa > Alexa Signage. 


Create and Manage your TV Screens

Create and view your TV screens. You need a FireTV stick.  

  1. Click the wrench "Config" icon in the top right and select "TV Signage"

  2. Click "Create New" to add a new TV screen
  3. Click the edit icon to make changes to the TV screen

 

Create Signage for TVs

    1. Click Prntyr on the left hand navigation. Last button on the bottom. prntyr-button
      1. If not automatically logged in, login with the same credentials as your Speak2 staff login. 

    2. You'll see "Designs" which includes pre-designed TV slide templates.
    3. Click a template to use that design.
      1. Or click the "Slides" at the top to design your own or upload an image.

    4. You will be brought to Slides page defaulted to TV dimension (1920x1080 px).

    Use TV slide or template

    Click the image of the template. You'll be brought to the Slides page to make edits or share.

    Upload your own photo or background under "Background." Upload your image, select it and you can change the opacity or add other elements and text.

    Drag and drop text options over to your design to use them. 

    Date defaults to the current date and will change if you replace your content.

    Drag and drop  the options to your design to use them. 

    Upload an image and adjust as needed. You can change the opacity of the image under "Background".

    Click color to add a background color. 

    Upload a background image or another image you created. 

    Change the opacity under "Background color"

    Add a border to your slide or upload your own image as a border

    Select the Speak2 content you want to use.

    Each will present different options (e.g. you must select breakfast, lunch, dinner, or all in Menu)

    • "Image" (PNG, JPG) exports to your computer as ZIP file
    • "PDF" downloads to your computer
    • "Print" sends to your printer
    • "Create a PDF" sends you an email with PDF file
    • "Create Alexa slide" sends the slide to Alexa screens
    • "Create TV slide" sends the slide to TV screens



     

    Resize any slide to fit Alexa Screens. Alexa Echo Show 8 are 960x600 px. 

     

    Share > Create a TV Slide 

    Send a slide to TV screens by clicking Share > Create a TV Slide from the top right corner.

    If today is your start day, but the time has passed, then the slide will not send.

    Select tomorrow as your start date and then select the time.

    • Save as universal to share with all users in Prntyr

    Preview TV Signage

    Preview slides: View slides at any date. View today, next week or any day by changing the date filter.

    Edit slides: Click the square pencil icon to edit a slide

    Delete slides: Click the trash icon to delete icons

    Order slides: Drag the handle in bottom right cotton of a slide to rearrange their order

    View slides: View slides horizontally or vertically
