Use check in for wellness checks and set a routine with "start my day"
The check in process can be executed directly by residents using the Resident app. Staff can execute using the web or Staff app. However, the most powerful tool for this feature is Alexa.
The Speak2 check in process is more than just marking a resident as active. We encourage the process as a way to solicit more information about a resident on a regular basis while providing them with the content and connections they need to hear every day.
How does check in work?
Friendly language for checking in, “Alexa, start my day” or “Alexa, good morning,” does not imply a “Checking in” mentality. Alexa will ask if they want to hear any community content toggled on in the web.
How to check in on Alexa
Say one of the following phrases:
"Alexa, start my day"
"Alexa, good morning"
"Alexa, checking in"
Each will start the check-in process and read off any community content and time stamp.
How to check in on the web
Anyone in the "Not Checked In" column has not checked in yet. Anyone in the "Checked In" has checked in via Alexa or the app.

- Drag and drop to move someone to a column. You will see their name, apartment number and time stamp
- Sort by First Name, Last Name or Apartment number
TIP When you click Reminder Alexa will send an announcement and notification to everyone who has not checked in yet.
