Create, accept and fulfill residents requests/orders

 

The #1 way to create a request is to say, "Alexa, I need help". This is sent to the caregiver department and they can send it the appropriate department directly on the Staff app. 

Requests vs. Orders

Both staff and residents can create requests and orders. The #1 way residents ask for help is by saying, "Alexa, I need help."

Requests are real-time requests typically made by the resident requiring immediate staff assistance.

Orders are more complex, not immediate, and are often scheduled.

  • Headache

  • Can't find something

  • Escort to meal

  • Maintenance fix faucet

  • Deep cleaning

  • Ride to doctor



Resident Requests

Residents can place requests on the Neighbors app or Alexa. Staff can create an Alexa request on behalf of a resident when in the resident's apartment.

Request not for your department? Send it to the right one. 

Long-press the card on the app and click "Convert to order." Select the correct department to send the request. 

 

Create a request on Alexa

#1 way residents make a request: Residents say, "Alexa, I need help." This is similar to a pendant press. All staff under the department "Caregiver" will receive the request on the Staff app. 

  1. Say, "Alexa, I need maintenance," or another department, such as caregivers or housekeeping. 
  2. Alexa will ask, "What kind of assistance do you need?"
  3. Respond back with details. 
  4. A notification will sent to the Speak2 Staff app to all online staff in that department

If the request is not for your department, long hold the card on the staff app and click "Convert to order" and select the correct department.  

Order a service on Alexa 

Create an order by saying "Alexa, Order Service" and select from community services. 

  1. Say, "Alexa, order service"
  2. Click the department name or say the department number 
  3. Click the service name or say the service number
  4. Select your add ons
  5. Click Submit or say "Yes".
  6. Check your request status by saying, "Alexa, open order status."

Request or Order on the Neighbors app

  1. Open the Speak2 Neighbors app and click the department 
  2. Select the Service
  3. Select Add ons and fill in order details.
  4. Choose to have the service now or schedule it. Click send. 


Create a request or order on the staff web

There are 2 places to do this. On the Dashboard, use the widget or on the Requests page by clicking the plus button.

Use the widget on the right side and fill in the following: 
  • Department
  • Resident 
  • Service
  • Order name
  • Details
  • Photos (if needed)
  • Schedule it for now or later 


 

 

 

 

Create request on the staff web

  1. Navigate to Requests on the left hand navigation
  2. Click the Create Request button on the right side of the screen to create new request. 
  3. Fill in the details using the same widget above.

  2. Select the resident
  3. Select the department
  4. Select the service and enter all relevant details.
