Residents receive updates in 4 ways: Alexa, app, email, SMS
Setting alerts in Services
Manage how residents receive information on the services. You can check off how you'd like a resident to be alerted for each service.
Active = Live service. If this is not checked, no one will see or use this service
Bookable = Residents can register, sign up, or order this service
Share to Calendars = This event or service will be added to the resident and staff (if applicable) calendars. They can view their calendars on apps, Alexa or the web
Display in Signage = Residents will see signage on their Alexa about this service. It will rotate on their screen util the service is complete
Auto Notification = A notification will go off on Alexa, text, and email when updates are made
Auto Announcement = An announcement will go off on Alexa, text and email when updates are made
Auto notification & auto announcement toggle are default to send to Registered (or booked) residents.
Toggle On to "All" to send to all Residents! This is useful for events and activities.
How are residents updated on their requests?
Residents hear updates from you (staff) about their request such as "Alexa, I need help" or "Alexa, order service." If they opt-in, they will receive updates on Alexa, the Neighbors app, email, and text/SMS.
Most alerts are predefined in the Service Library.
When are residents updated on their requests?
- If their request is accepted, assigned, or scheduled, residents are alerted on Alexa, email, and phone (if enabled)
- If their request is updated, rescheduled, reassigned, or reopened, residents are alerted on Alexa, email, and phone (if enabled)
- A resident does not receive an alert if there is an update to the Request details. They can view this information by saying, "Alexa, open order status" or viewing it in the Neighbors app under the Order Status screen (the Bell icon at the top center of the screen).
